Imagery Analyst (Active TS/SCI and Polygraph Required)
Chimera supports our customers with advanced intelligence analysis to aid analysts, the warfighters and decision makers. You will be supporting an analysis team in Springfield, Virginia.This position is full time on-site and a Top Secret Clearance with SCI access is required.
As an imageryanalyst you will work with a team of scientists and analysts who produce imagery products for the analyst community and you will work to enhance the analysis with new data types and get an understanding of how analysts need new data to be presented in variousapplication user interfaces where products are ordered,displayed and presented. You will need to haveunderstanding of GEOINT imagery types, Imagery analysisproduction,critical thinking, problem solving and understanding of how data is processed and displayed to users. You will be the bridge between the scientists producing information and the analysts consuming the information. You will be required to help interpret the analyst needs and use that as requirements to develop designs for the applications. You will then help advance understanding to both groups andliaison between them. You will be required to collaborate effectively with other team members. Communication and collaboration are important aspects of this team to ensure interfaces are correct, fully functioning and effective at communicating the scientists generated imagery information to analysts. A background in imagery analysis is very helpful to thisposition and also a scientific understanding of how remote sensing data is collected.

In this job you will:
- Will be provided with imagery products from various performers
- Develop imagery analysis requirements for new remote sensing data collections
- Develop application design criteria from the consumers
- Have a critical thinking mindset towith a mind to how customers or users perceive the data and how data is used in Imagery Production or Analysis to Intel Problem sets
- Understand thermal infrared imagery, FMV imagery, spectral, OPIR and radar data types
- Collaborate with other application engineers, scientists and users/consumers
- Required: 4 years of experience and a BA/BS. In place of the degree, may substitute 11 years of relevant work experience. Desired: MA/MS degree. In place of the degree, may substitute 15 years of relevant work experience
- Programming in Python, C++, Java, and CMake
- Experience using Virtualization and containerization like Docker
- Experience using Operating Systems like Linux
- An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
