Job Description
CATEGORICALLY FUNDED - POSITION CONTINGENT UPON CONTINUED FUNDING AND BOARD APPROVED.
Under the direction of the Dean of Student Success or appropriate designee, provide instructional assistance and support to students in the Student Success Center (SSC in math, statistics and science across the disciplines, study skills, instructional software, computer operations, and supplemental instruction; provide specialized tutorial assistance for all math, statistics and science classes and related classes as appropriate; oversee the mathematics and science tutoring in all centers within the Student Success Center including the MESA Center; training and monitoring tutors and being a resource for the tutors; evaluate math and tutoring software for use in the center and provide assistance and expertise in using the currently adopted math and tutoring software; provide feedback to the mathematics and science department, and Dean regarding the tutoring program at both centers; provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff in the use of technology in instructional programs, monitors and reports student progress; participate in a wide variety of specialized program and office duties; assist in other operations of the Student Success Center.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Over the summer the schedule changes to Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with Friday off.
