Interim Director of Strategic Communications

Scion Nonprofit has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Interim Director of Strategic Communications for our client, a national Nonprofit organization dedicated to finding innovative solutions inspired by Nature to work towards building a healthier planet! This is a part time, remote, interim position expected to last 4-8 weeks at 20-30 hours/wk.

• Compensation range is $55-57/hr, depending on experience

What you will be doing:

• Utilize communications blueprint to ensure communications efforts are running smoothy for several key projects
• Effectively manage communications projects that include a website redesign and relaunch
• Plan and prepare communications to ensure as broad as possible of an audience for new site
• Plan and prepare communications for executive leadership to share at large, nature friendly and environmentally focused events
• Work with leadership to ensure adherence and management of communications goals and growth initiatives

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Senior level expertise with communications, marketing, or public relations
• Experience in brand management, media relations and digital mission amplification
• Project management skills, collaborating with and overseeing communications with internal and external project resources
• Ability to work Pacific time zone business hours
