Internal Communications Department

The internal communications team partners with internal stakeholders to deliver critical information and manage executive and company-wide communications that align with our organizational goals. This includes organizing company-wide news, distributing high-quality content, promoting employee engagement, and working with teams across the business to enhance communication for employees.

Position Overview

This position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO or Ashburn, VA, in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).

The Internal Communications Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting and implementing internal communication initiatives that engage, inform, and inspire our employees. You will be a key player in enhancing the flow of information within our organization, ensuring that employees are well-informed and aligned with the company’s goals and values. This role involves creating compelling content, implementing communication strategies, and supporting various internal communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and PowerPoint skills, a keen understanding of effective communication practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Content Creation: Develop and produce engaging content for internal news, emails, intranet updates, and other internal communication channels
• Presentation Development: Create visually appealing and effective PowerPoint presentations for internal meetings and executive communications
• Employee Engagement: Foster a positive organizational culture through targeted communication initiatives that promote employee engagement and satisfaction
  
  

Duties

• Work closely with HR, IT, Marketing and other departments to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company objectives
• Coordinate and develop the delivery of content across internal channels
• Measure and report on outcomes and provide recommended adjustments
• Ensuring timely and accurate translation of internal content utilizing internal translation tools
• Serve as core values champion, embodying and promoting Vantage’s core values of Trust, Accountability, Respect, and Agility
• Additional duties as designated by Management
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field is preferred
• 3 - 5 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, marketing, or a related field
• Data Center experience is preferred, but not required
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages
• Experienced in Microsoft PowerPoint, with a talent for creating visually engaging and effective presentations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
• Familiarity with internal communication platforms and tools, such as intranets, email marketing software, and employee engagement apps
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
• Travel required is expected to be less than 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves

Additional Details

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
• This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
• Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
