Internship - Immunology Research

Internship description We have an exciting opportunity for an intern to join the immunology research team in our North American location (Germantown, MD). The position will be lab-based for a hands-on opportunities to learn and perform immunological assays including tissue processing, cell culture, ELISA and flow cytometry. These experimental techniques will help support the discovery and development processes for new drugs and therapeutics. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of research ranging from experiment planning to data presentation under the supervision of senior lab members. What we are looking for in a candidate Positive attitude and willingness see projects to completion, even when they are challenging. A critical thinker with great organizational and presentation skills Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, higher education (Including community college, Bachelor’s degree etc. ) in the biology field. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels. Must be able to work effectively as a team. Some knowledge of immunology and autoimmune diseases is preferred, but an interest to learn is acceptable. An interest in the drug discovery process. The ability to be onsite in Germantown part-time (hours and schedule are negotiable). Some experience in a lab setting is preferred but not required.
