Investment Research Professional, Relative Value Hedge Fund Strategies

Position Overview

Aksia is seeking a hedge fund research investment professional to focus on relative value strategies including diversified quant, fixed income relative value, volatility arbitrage, risk mitigation, and insurance-linked securities. The investment professional will be responsible for sourcing, leading investment due diligence, monitoring hedge fund investments, and proposing recommendations for client portfolios. This position is based in Aksia’s New York office.

Responsibilities

• Source, research, and evaluate hedge fund managers with the relative value sector
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of hedge funds
• Write monthly notes and conduct annual due diligence of hedge funds
• Author market and strategy-focused research papers
• Monitor client portfolios and participate in business development activities
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience conducting due diligence on hedge fund managers
• Established hedge fund industry network
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Excel, financial modeling, and analysis skills

The estimated base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $180,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Aksia pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
