Information Technology Department

The Technology & Systems Department for Vantage Data Centers is very hands-on. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure, and maintain all networking and server hardware. We also work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest technology changes, so we can make informed purchase decisions. The IT department is always looking for ways to strike the best balance between technology, performance, and cost.

Vantage Technology & Systems also participates in crafting each of our new data center building’s networking infrastructure, including but not limited to diverse pathways connecting to carriers, meet-me room hosting (rack, cabs, ladders, cross-connect panels…), wireless AP coverage, etc. If you like getting your hands dirty and helping to design, build and maintain IT infrastructure in a modern data center, then come work at Vantage. Position Overview

The IT / Technology Configuration Administrator is responsible for ensuring the sustainability of the service asset and configuration management data and related processes. This person will be responsible to manage standard based on best practices and aligned with ServiceNow architecture ensuring it collaborates with all other relevant systems. The person is responsible for reviewing the efficiency of the data, processes and integration required for the organization to perform efficiently at global scale. It also involves supporting hardware and software asset audits.

This position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO. in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).

Essential Job Functions

• CMDB Management:
• Maintain and optimize CMDB system according to interpersonal requirements and standard methodologies in ServiceNow as global system of records
• Collaborate with various teams (e.g., IT operations, infrastructure, and application teams) to collect and validate CMDB data.
• Maintain historical records of configuration items (CIs) and their changes over time.
• Data Collection and Integration:
• Maintain processes for automated data collection from various sources (e.g., network discovery tools, asset management systems, and manual inputs).
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency within the CMDB.
• Work closely with procurement team for CMDB readiness before operationalizing IT asset into services
• Asset Inventory and Audit:
• Conducting primary research on emerging ITAM issues as it relates to CMDB and help to identify and quantify gaps and improvement opportunities
• Establish and Maintain processes for a comprehensive IT asset inventory, including hardware, software, and related services.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of asset records and identify potential risks or discrepancies.
• Reconcile asset inventory with financial records and ensure proper labeling working with regional finance teams
  
  

• Reporting and Analytics:
• Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into the IT asset / CMDB components
• Analyze CMDB data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
• Support auditing and compliance efforts by providing accurate and comprehensive information about IT assets.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously evaluate and improve CMDB & asset lifecycle, data quality, and system performance.
• Collaborate with global customers to identify and implement improvements to the CMDB and ITSM system

Job Requirements

• At least five (5) years of experience as an Asset Administrator or Manager required, preferably qualified
• Expert level knowledge in IT asset management, ITAM, CMDB, data, and reporting tools
• Experience working in a Global enterprise organization
• Comfortable working in global settings with partners in EMEA and APAC region
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
• Travel is expected to be less than 20%
• Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Knowledge of applicable software licensing terms, license models, and enterprise maintenance and support contracts.
• Awareness of ITIL, particularly Incident, Change, and Release Management
• Travel required is expected to be up to 20% but may increase over time as the business evolves

Additional Details

• Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

• Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
