Junior Associate (Employment Practices Group)

Our client's Employment Group is expanding and seeking a Junior Associate with at least 2 years of experience in employment law, encompassing both litigation and counseling.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of two years in employment law, particularly in advising employers, including early and mid-stage start-ups, on a wide range of employment law issues
  • Proficient in wage/hour matters, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification assessments
  • Experienced in preparing or reviewing employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements
  • Strong litigation skills with experience in both single plaintiff and complex cases
  • Solid command of employment law, especially California state and local employment laws
  • Business-minded problem-solving skills
  • Strong academic background and California bar membership

The Employment Group provides counseling and litigation services in areas such as:

  • Employment discrimination
  • Sexual harassment
  • Wrongful termination
  • Wage-hour issues
  • Trade secrets/non-competition/unfair competition
  • Workplace privacy
  • Executive employment agreements

The team regularly advises employers and trains managers on personnel systems, policies, and practices.

Salary Range:

  • $235,000 - $310,000

Actual base salary will depend on various factors, including qualifications, years of experience, education, certifications, professional licenses, and job location.
