Client Information

Our client, the Division of HIV Prevention (DHP) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), focuses on high-impact prevention of HIV. They are committed to preventing new infections, improving health outcomes for individuals with HIV, and reducing disparities and health inequities related to HIV.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and databases.

Engage in coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.

Document software functionality and contribute to database management and optimization efforts.

Work with team members to integrate elements and data solutions effectively.

Assist in the implementation of new software technology and evaluate its performance.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

1-2 years of experience in software development and database management.

Familiarity with programming languages like Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.

Basic understanding of database systems such as SQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.

Knowledge of software development methodologies and lifecycle.

Preferred

Experience in software development within healthcare or public health settings.

Exposure to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Certification in a relevant programming language or database management.
