Job Description
As a Junior VoIP Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineering staff to support and maintain the RingCentral VoIP infrastructure. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth in the field of telecommunications and voice-over-IP technologies.
Responsibilities
Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of RingCentral VoIP systems.
Monitor VoIP network performance and troubleshoot issues.
Provide technical support and resolve incidents related to VoIP services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements.
Participate in testing and validation of VoIP systems upgrades.
Document processes, configurations, and changes for future reference.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in VoIP technology.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Solid understanding of VoIP protocols and technologies, particularly with RingCentral.
Familiarity with SIP, RTP, IP PBX, and VoIP gateways.
Experience with network protocols and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, etc.).
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CCNA Voice, RingCentral Certification, or similar.
Experience with cloud-based VoIP solutions and integrations.
Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation.
