Full-Time H-Sync Juvenile Court Case Manager & Family Specialist

Hiring Range: $24.94 - $30.55 Per Hour

Kitsap Mental Health Services is hiring an HSYNC Family Coordinator to make a meaningful impact on the lives of at-risk and homeless youth involved with the Kitsap County Juvenile Court. You will work closely with caregivers, the Juvenile Court, and housing stakeholders to implement the HSYNC Pilot, aimed at improving housing stability for youth. Provide brief case management and support to connect caregivers and youth with necessary resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • One on-site training for Kitsap County Juvenile Staff regarding housing resources
  • Screening, assessment, and brief case management for an estimated 8-10 families per month. Connect caregivers and youth to services for unmet needs.
  • Program data tracking and reporting.
  • Working with the staff at the Kitsap County Juvenile Court to ensure youth are being discharged to housing and that additional resources are located.
  • Networking with partner agencies, resources, and community stakeholders.
  • Participating in monthly project meetings with the University of Washington.
  • Provide stay family therapy
  • Provide groups for youth in detention

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.

EXPERIENCE: Entry level (no prior related work experience)

This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and have reliable, insured transportation.

LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration. (Can be obtained post-hire)

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.

EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)

Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, vocational services, or substance abuse treatment.
