The Lab Assistant performs quality testing of bulk liquid products in accordance with ASTM methods and Company oversight programs.
Position Duties And Responsibilities
Performs testing of petroleum products (gasoline, diesel, etc.), additives, renewable fuels, and UCO (Used Cooking Oil) using required methodology and maintain results in the required log.
Performs calibration checks, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on all laboratory equipment.
Analyzes test results and enters results onto spreadsheets.
Reports results in a timely manner to all applicable parties and maintains records of testing.
Assists with inquiries involving off-spec products and resolution of issues, helping as the quality liaison with Operations.
Prepares and ships petroleum products, additives, renewable fuels, and UCO in compliance with all applicable Federal transport requirements.
Monitors the procurement, use, and disposal of chemicals/products used in the lab process.
Maintains lab integrity through record-keeping and the practice of proper housekeeping and due diligence.
