Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, as the Lab Maintenance Technican 2, you are responsible for a wide variety of assignments from minor to moderately complex. Work may range from adjustment and minor repairs to assisting with the complete overhaul of heavy/complex equipment.

• Completes all training objectives on time (Safety, SOPs, OJT)
• Installs and setup of new lab equipment
• Preventative maintenance and repairs of incubators, refrigerators, freezers, centrifuges, and other lab equipment
• Responsible for the accuracy, clarity and compliance of all documentation i.e. PM task sheets, work records, logbooks, etc, generated during the work shift
• Performs a variety of assignments from minor to moderately complex
• Provides general planned maintenance
• Monitors service of outside vendors and inspects field work performed as needed
• Trains with Sr. Maintenance Mechanic to increase skill sets and overall knowledge of buildings
• Researches and orders materials for repairs as needed
• Performs tasks in accordance with SOPs and regulations (cGMP and GLP)
• Complies with company health and safety regulations and procedures
• Performs duties independently with minimal supervision

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ Years working on lab equipment

Physical Attributes:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Wear PPE such as lab coats, shoe covers, gloves and masks

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years work experience in cGxP environment is desirable.
• Lab and clean room experience
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
