Land Use, Planning and Zoning Attorney

We are a young and booming law firm, seeking an experienced Attorney to build our Land Use and Zoning practice team. As a firm, we believe that our succusses in dependent on our relationships, and our connections to our community. In this role you will be responsible for providing advice and support to land developers, contractors, and other stakeholders on the legal aspects of land use, zoning, permitting, and other related matters. If you have 5+ years of experience in land use, planning, and zoning laws, and are looking for a new way to grow in your practice, we want to talk to you!

Key Responsibilities

• Advise developers, contractors, and other stakeholders on the legal aspects of land use, zoning, permitting, and other related matters.
• Research zoning and land use ordinances and other relevant legal documents.
• Draft zoning petitions and other legal documents as needed.
• Provide advice on land development strategies.
• Negotiate with municipal authorities and other stakeholders to obtain permits and licenses.
• Represent clients in municipal and state court proceedings.
• Assist clients in obtaining variances and other permits.
• Follow developments in land use and zoning law and advise clients accordingly.
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited university.
• Admitted to practice law in North Carolina
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working on land use and zoning law.
• Solid knowledge of property and land use law.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to come up with creative solutions that benefit out clients
• Experience representing clients in court proceedings and zoning boards.
  
  

Benefits

We offer our attorneys a completive base compensation ranging from $110,000k - $150,000k(may vary based on experience). We also have a low bulliable hour requirement of 1600, and give you the opportunity to grow your business in way that best works for you and your clients.
