Law Clerk

Pettit Kohn Ingrassia Lutz & Dolin PC is an AV-rated, full-service trial and litigation firm seeking Part-Time and Full-Time Law Clerks to handle research projects, writing assignments, data analysis, deposition summaries, medical chronologies, attend depositions, mediations, or motion hearings and/or trials in a variety of practice areas.

This role offers potential hybrid flexibility in our San Diego office.

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and preparing for trial.
• Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.
• Attend depositions, mediations, hearings and/or trials.
• Organize and analyze documents and evidence.

Schedule:

Summer 2024

• 15-40 hours per week, depending on applicant's availability

Fall 2024 / Spring 2025

• Post-Bar applicants: Full-time schedule
• Current Students: 15-20 hours per week to accommodate class schedule for Fall and/or Spring Semester

Compensation:

• $26.00/hour, increased to $45.67/hour post-Bar
• Tracked growth into Associate role, after passing Bar Exam

Experience:

• Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree OR Current enrollment in 3L year
• Strong knowledge of legal concepts and procedures
• Excellent research, writing, detail-orientation, and organizational skills are required.
