Lead Program Manager / Program Manager Governance

SUMMARY:

Our client, a leading organization, is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Program Manager for an initial contract position for one-year, with the potential for extension based on performance and company needs.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

SKILLS / RESPONSABILITIES:

Leadership and Coaching:

  • Coach and lead Program Managers, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators to ensure optimal performance and compliance with standard processes and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to all project management positions across IT.

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Offer subject matter expertise and leadership for the implementation of strategic and project management initiatives, focusing on achieving strategic goals.
  • Advise IT Leadership on Project Management best practices, delivery management, risk, and issue management.

Project Management Office (PMO):

  • Design and execute project management disciplines within the Project Management Office.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on project management policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement standards, procedures, system monitors, and controls to ensure the successful management and reporting of all corporate project initiatives.

Methodology and Adaptability:

  • Maintain a methodology that adapts to changing project management priorities and allows for the management of enterprise risks and impacts.
  • Continuously improve and develop data that provide metrics to measure portfolio health from initiation to deployment.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain project and portfolio metrics that feed divisional dashboards used by the CIO and IT Directors for executive project reporting.
  • Provide measures and metrics used to assess the performance of the Project Management team.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training on all project management processes, standards, and procedures as required.
  • Design and implement better ways of working, identifying, and implementing automation where applicable.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to write policies, standards, and procedures, and to develop presentation material (ppt).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in using Clarity and Azure Boards.
  • Experience with Agile ways of working.

Other Skills:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
