Lead Sales Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Sales Engineer to drive our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a desire to drive our Emerson industrial business, as well as experience in inside sales.

The Lead Sales Engineer will support our junior sales engineers and sales support specialists to help them drive revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities, manage existing accounts, and provide technical support to customers. This is a technical role, and our offerings are some of the best in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive B2B sales for enterprise biopharma, life sciences, oil and gas, specialty chemical, hydrogen, food and beverage verticals for exclusive Emerson Impact Partner in mid-Atlantic region.
  • Help less experienced sales engineers be the best they can be by nurturing a sales culture that also focuses on integrity.
  • Teach sales support specialists how to Identify and develop new business opportunities through warm leads, networking, and other sales techniques.
  • Support and help manage the growth of existing accounts through development of strong relationships with customers to better understand their needs and how we can solve their issues with the Emerson product line.
  • Provide 3rd level technical support to customers by answering questions and providing solutions to their problems.
  • Keep in close contact with our stellar operations team to ensure timely delivery of products and services. Our operations team just updated our ERP system using advanced CRM analytics to drive sales and marketing efforts!
  • Collaborate with our incredible marketing team to develop sales collateral and promotional materials. Our marketing team has all the latest technology at their disposal, and the Emerson Impact Partner brand!
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to represent the company and develop new business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biology, industrial engineering or related field.
  • Between 7-15 years of experience in industrial or equipment sales.
  • Strong technical background in industrial or manufacturing process equipment.
  • Excellent sales and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to drive a team of less experienced sales engineers.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with customers and attend industry events.
