We’re looking for a Head of UI/UX Design with extensive zero to 1 design experience, a passion for gaming, and extremely strong leadership abilities to join a world-class social games company as the design leader for games.


Reporting directly to the Founders based in Europe, you’ll be a foundational member of the U.S.-based team, responsible for conceptualizing and executing UI/UX for new entertainment products - beginning with a marquee social games brand - while leading a small internal design team and working closely with product and branding to integrate stunning game features and branding throughout the user experience.


Los Angeles-based is preferred, but we’ll consider remote candidates with social games and/or iGaming expertise.

Compensation and Perks:

  • $150,000 - $190,000 annual salary depending on experience/demonstrated success

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own UI/UX strategy, research, and execution across mobile and web for new product development and brand integration initiatives in the social casino and gaming space
  • Work with product, branding, and marketing teams to conceptualize designs that fully integrate branding and GTM strategies
  • Develop designs that fully display the brand personally while maintaining a design finger fully on the pulse of business goals and conversion rate optimization
  • Come up with design ideas and experiences that will excite users, elevate the brand, and maximize engagement across gaming mediums and audiences
  • Stay ahead of social and casino gaming industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, incorporating relevant innovations into our product designs
  • Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development process, conducting user research, user interviews, and testing to gain insights into user behavior
  • Develop and execute high-quality design concepts and wireframes that effectively illustrate product functionality and user flows, considering market research and industry best practices
  • Create interactive prototypes to showcase design concepts and validate ideas with stakeholders and end-users, utilizing tools such as Sketch, UXPin, Figma, Adobe XD
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, branding & marketing to translate business requirements into cohesive design solutions
  • Ensure seamless transition from wireframes to final visual designs, maintaining consistency and brand alignment
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems, pattern libraries, and UI/UX guidelines, promoting design consistency across brands and products
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders, usability testing, and data analysis to continuously improve the user experience
  • As needed (and for future builds), work with others to create fully-functional application and website/landing page prototypes for testing and to deploy split tests
  • Help to identify creative ways to solve usability problems
  • Analyze user and stakeholder feedback and iterate to enhance the overall user experience
  • Help build and manage the creative team as the company grows


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 7+ years senior design-level experience, capable of leading product and web UI/UX design conversations across departments
  • iGaming/social games design experience and expertise a huge plus
  • Great leadership abilities - develop strategies, guide implementations, mentor junior team members, and confidently represent design across departments and stakeholder conversations
  • Digital portfolio showcasing successful mobile and web product designs. We want to know what makes you tick as a designer, including sketches and/or finished pieces you feel demonstrate your creative thought process
  • Goal-oriented designer with experience in conversion optimization-focused design
  • Expert in web technologies and design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar, along with a strong understanding of player/user-centered design principles
  • Demonstrated ability to empathize with users, advocate for their needs, and translate insights into meaningful design solutions
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking, with the ability to address complex design challenges and make data-driven design decisions
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, scope, and timelines while maintaining a high level of quality
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React is a huge plus - coding skills aren’t a requirement
  • An insatiable curiosity for making it easier for people to get what they need out of a digital experience
  • Have to be a solid team player who can communicate well, kindly, and contribute to the cultural fiber of the team in a positive way
  • Must have a working understanding and ability to deploy split testing in UI
  • A drive to constantly sharpen your skills and challenge yourself with new ideas, projects, and tools
