Library Systems & Services is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Library Associate to join our team. As a Library Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent library services and assisting patrons in accessing and utilizing library resources. Responsibilities:
Assist patrons with locating and checking out library materials
Answer reference questions and provide research assistance
Help patrons access and navigate library databases and online resources
Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive library experience for patrons
Assist with library programs and events, such as storytimes and workshops
Process new library materials, including cataloging and shelving
Maintain library inventory and ensure materials are organized and accessible
Stay up-to-date with library policies and procedures
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
Experience working in a library or customer service setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with library systems and online resources
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Detail-oriented and organized
Passionate about providing quality library services
