Machine Maintenance Technician Role And Responsibilities

This position assumes the responsibility for the upkeep of the preventive maintenance program for all machining equipment as well as the general facilities maintenance requirements at both Clients’ locations.

Machine Maintenance Technician Key Duties:

• Assume the responsibilities of the Lockout/Tagout Program
• Scheduling, coordination, and maintenance of the preventive maintenance for all machining equipment using Maintenance Coordinator Database or other software approved by management.
• Report to the General Manager on all issues regarding equipment and facilities maintenance.
• Complete and maintain all machine and facility maintenance documentation, inventory, and records.
• Request through Purchasing any needed tools, parts or supplies to perform necessary repairs.
• Keep accurate record of all tools purchased to perform duties and label as company owned.
• Keep accurate time records via ERP system and Maintenance Coordinator Database.
• Be respectful and a team player with co-workers.
• Maintain and provide support to all 5-S program initiatives.
• Ensure compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives and procedures.
  
  

Machine Maintenance Technician Qualifications And Education Requirements

Minimum Education:

• High school degree or equivalent GED
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be familiar with machine shop tooling, fixturing and basic supplies
• Must have electrical and mechanical engineering background relating to shop equipment and controls
• Must be computer literate and able to read and communicate in English
  
  

Machine Maintenance Technician Preferred Skills:

Bilingual (Spanish) helpful
