Driven by growth and new technology initiatives, PrismHR has an opening for an Infrastructure Operations Manager. This role has direct management for a team of infrastructure engineers with varied disciplines across both our legacy and go forward technology initiatives.
This role will require someone with a hands-on type of leadership style, someone that can guide others and still roll up their sleeves to contribute to our growing infrastructure. You will collaborate across multiple groups within the Product Delivery organization including development, architecture and program management to help deliver the best service for our clients.
SPECIFIC DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team of 3 to 6 infrastructure engineers in configuring, monitoring, maintaining and growing the company’s application services
Provide formal, less formal and ‘as needed’ continual performance and personal growth feedback to assigned engineers
Lead the team by example in driving and implementing actionable process, efficiency and quality improvements
Troubleshoot issues across all application tiers
Continual learning of new technologies and concepts; training and mentoring team members.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment, and configuration(s)
Continue to evolve the use of automation and configuration management
Participate in the creation, maintenance, testing, and execution of the Disaster Recovery plan
Work with hosting services, managed service providers, and contracted support to deliver innovative solutions for a wide range of product and service offerings
Assist in capacity planning activities, to include creating and presenting technical specifications and requirements for purchasing of new servers and networking equipment
Participate in after-hours upgrades, maintenance troubleshooting, and on-call availability as needed
Function as a project lead to ensure major projects are kept on track and key deliverables met
SKILLS And EXPERIENCE
10+ years of infrastructure and application support in a production environment, with 2+ years in a team leadership of management role
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or Engineering
Experience with Docker CE as well as Docker Data Center infrastructure or equivalent
Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
Experience with supporting applications in complex AWS infrastructures
Strong scripting knowledge for Windows and Linux platforms
Design level expertise for SaaS operating platforms
SSAE-16 SOC1, SOC2 or equivalent compliance experience strongly desired
Excellent problem solving and effective research skills
Good customer service skills
Dedication and willingness to work some alternative schedules as necessary
Industry certifications are strongly desired: Red Hat (RHCSA/RHCE), Windows (MCSA / MCSE), and/or Network (CCNA, CCNA Security)
Knowledge of VMware virtual systems and cloud infrastructure, in a managed service environment
