Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Manager Contract Administration 3 to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting the Space Security Contracts team. This is a unique opportunity to build experience, mentoring relationships, and career growth by contributing to the Contracts role. This position is in Dulles, VA. Hybrid or remote work is not available for this opportunity.
The Manager Contract Administration 3 will produce high quality Contract Management related products supporting the NGSP Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) Satellite Missions (SM) programs. This position requires an understanding of DOD contracting, excellent communication skills, strong technology acumen in M365, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
The Manager Contract Administration 3 will be required to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines and handle multiple tasks. The Manager Contract Administration 3 must possess the ability to work well with others in high-stress high-volume situations, effectively interface with internal functional and program organizations, and meet the goals/objectives of the SM operating unit.
Roles and responsibilities of the Manager Contract Administration 3 will include the following:
- Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.
- Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
- Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with at least 10+ years of relevant Contracts, Subcontracts, Procurement Administration, or directly related experience; or Master’s Degree with 8+ years of relevant Contracts, Subcontracts, Procurement Administration, or directly related experience.
- 2+ years of management experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop talent
- Strong technical acumen in M365
- An in-depth knowledge of FAR, DFAR and experience with different contract types
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and effectively bring projects to completion
- Current Active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting ECPs and REAs
- Experience with managing and administrator OCIs
- Extensive Proposal Support
- Change Management
- NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)
Salary Range: $149,400.00 - $224,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
