What You’ll Do

Manager, General Accounting is based in San Jose, CA and a key member of the Accounting Department, reporting to the Manager of Accounting, General Accounting. The candidate will demonstrate a deep knowledge of financial accounting and provide innovative solutions for process and policy improvement in overall Accounting operations. The main responsibilities include performing a variety of tasks ranging from routine to complex analysis and playing a critical part in accounting operations, such as performing daily/monthly fixed asset processes, maintaining internal controls, leading various process innovation projects, preparing various accounting reports, etc.. Also, the Accounting Manager will collaborate with the key stakeholders to understand and identify risks associated to current process and system, provide methodologies to optimize operational efficiency and drive improvements and automation where possible.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

  • Prepare various accounting reports of financial results and perform in-depth flux analysis.
  • Analyze accounting data and interpret statistical information to identify areas of improvements and make suggestions for improvements.
  • Responds to inquiries from management regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
  • Establish, evaluate, and maintain compliance with internal control requirements per HQ.
  • Perform internal control testing and identify control gaps to assist in proposing and documenting necessary remediation steps.
  • Understand and evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s current risk management, internal control, and governance processes to lead various process improvement projects.
  • Continuously apply process improvement methodology and mindset to execute meaningful and measurable improvement to the various existing processes in overall accounting operations.
  • Support quarterly external audits and perform technical accounting research when necessary Collaborate with the key stakeholders to understand the complexity of current fixed asset management process, system and policy.
  • Confirm delivery of assets and create assets in fixed asset management system, ensuring accurate data and classification (e.g. owner of the asset, location code, asset number, cost center, etc.).
  • Exercise judgement in determining the unit of asset and amounts to be capitalized based on understanding of features and functionality of assets and accounting knowledge on fixed assets to properly capitalize the assets and facilitate asset tracking and audits.
  • Participate in semi-annual physical fixed asset audits by planning, performing and tracking progress and assist in reporting results to management.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (large public company experiences desirable) and 10 years of experience, or an MS/MBA and 8 years of experience, or a PhD and 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of key business processes (order to collect, procure to pay, fixed assets, financial close, etc.).
  • Experiences and knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS and Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Strong project management/organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with ability to influence others and earn respect of team and business partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Korean language skill is a plus but not required.
  • A results-oriented team-player with a self-motivated, proactive, and positive can-do attitude.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, V-Lookup).
  • Experience in process automation in asset management is a plus.

Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. Base Pay Range

$127,170—$196,830 USD
