Accounting Department

The Accounting Department is integral to maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. Our mission is to provide accurate, timely, and relevant financial information while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the company’s strategic goals. The department manages a broad range of functions, including financial reporting, treasury, forecasting, month-end close activities, financial systems, fixed assets, consolidation and campus-specific financial oversight. By maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial data, we enable informed decision-making and uphold ethical standards across all financial activities. We prioritize continuous improvement in processes and systems to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Our collaborative approach ensures we work closely with other departments, providing financial insights and support to drive the company's strategic objectives.

Position Overview

Vantage’s footprint in North America is expanding and to support it, its accounting team is growing to better support its portfolio of data centers and investor fund structure. As such, Vantage is looking for an agile, resourceful and detail-oriented Manager, Investor Fund Accounting, to lead all investor fund accounting activities and to contribute to other core accounting activities.

The Manager, Investor Fund Accounting will lead management of our investor capital table, coordination and application of capital calls from investors, and management of our relationship with third party service providers related to our investor funds, and will also assist with core accounting activities, such as approval of transactions, participation in financial audits, participation in system improvement initiatives and coaching and developing the accounting team. The Manager, Investor Fund Accounting must be able to work independently and with the highest level of accountability and trust. The ideal candidate will also be well-organized, used to work in a fast-paced and complex environment, and demonstrate solid management skills.

This position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO. in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).

Essential Job Functions

• Lead the management of the investor capital table
• Lead the coordination and application of investor capital calls
• Lead our relationship with third party service providers related to investor funds
• Contribute to day-to-day data center accounting activities, including overseeing general ledger integrity and accuracy, and review of account reconciliations
• Nurture a work culture with a positive attitude that promotes trust, accountability and respect among teammates, stimulating teamwork to accomplish desired goals and objectives
• Contribute to the execution of month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including financial reporting and audits
• Support the formulation, implementation and execution of control systems within the organization
• Collaborate in process and financial systems enhancements
  
  

Duties

• Lead the management of the investor capital table
• Lead the coordination and application of investor capital calls
• Lead our relationship with third party service providers related to investor funds
• Assist in the month, quarter and year-end processes (including the review of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with laws, internal policies and US GAAP
• Assist in coordination with external auditors and internal auditors
• Participate in non-routine projects such as real estate and business acquisitions, debt financing transactions, etc., as needed
• Reviews and approves accounting documents per the company’s workflows
• Promote a strong culture of cooperation within the team
• Additional duties as assigned by Management
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting and CPA designation;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a large, complex organization’s Finance team;
• Experience in complex and multi-tiered entity environments;
• Private equity fund experience required;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many simultaneous priorities from time to time;
• Demonstrated communication, leadership and organizational skills;
• Facility to “roll up one’s sleeves” and collaborate with process participants in solving issues;
• Skilled at using various ERP and with technology in general;
• Knowledge of Yardi Voyager, preferred but not required;
• Proficient in the Windows and Office 365 environment.

Additional Information

• Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 base plus bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
• This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
