About The Job

Material Management

Responsible for the developing and executing activities relating to the management of material and associated documentation for the Materials Management Department. The position will have a broad range of responsibilities working closely with Global Support, Project(s), and Construction personnel.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the administration, management, coordination, training, implementation, and leading activities relating to the management of project and module material control and associated documentation for the Materials Management group in the Home Office and Construction Site/Fabrication environments. Position will have a broad range of responsibilities within the group to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and TechnipEnergies policy, procedure, and guidelines. The role provides support to users in maintaining, advancing, and utilizing manual and digital technology. Works with and troubleshoots a variety of material issues to provide project support.

Other Key Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management of material for the Materials Management group under the Construction Department.
  • Supply the leadership and direction to implement the requirements for the material management scope of work for projects. Provide coordination and communication with the Client, Engineering, Procurement and Contractors; set up and maintain goals and objectives for HSE, Quality, Project Cost, Schedule, and the Construction organization.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and effective Material Management Execution Plan and the deliverables as needed for the scope of work in the various phases of a project including Feasibility, BEDP, Pre-FEED/FEL 2, FEED/FEL 3 and EPC.
  • Prepare project MM Execution Plans, Module Material Control Site Material Control Plans, establish Techniques, Best Methods, and Practices as well as other specific programs.
  • Manages material control for Modularization and Services.
  • Assess the performance of Organization members and Service Providers.
  • Prepare content for presentations and proposals.
  • Provide input to Estimates, review, and comment on Basis of Estimate.
  • Travel as required to support execution.
  • Drive process improvement and enable cross-functional teams with project execution.
  • Applies knowledge and trouble shooting skills for all types of data management.
  • Remains knowledgeable of business unit activity and keeps management’s direct reports informed concerning material management information.
  • Applies extensive and diversified knowledge of material management practices and principles in work assignments.
  • Plans and executes in support of project operations within plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Practices good leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Provides direct and general supervision to material management personnel.
  • Provides fabrication management of materials and equipment.
  • Applies knowledge of material-handling procedures.
  • Studies receiving or shipping notices and reports schedule for incorporation into material reports.
  • Studies receiving or shipping notices and reports schedule inadequacies.
  • May confer with other departments to coordinate flow of materials.
  • Advises management of developments that may substantially affect project profit, costs, schedules, technical content, client relations, interdepartmental, and interdivisional relations.
  • When necessary, support and advise other TechnipEnergies departments on materials management matters.
  • Attending internal and external customer meetings via telephone, videoconference, or in person.
  • Support TechnipEnergies Management in the identification and assessment of all identified risks.
  • Provide perpetual communication, support, and collaboration with management and other team members.
  • Generate Material Forecasts to assist with AWP activities and Material Feasibility. Advises Project Management of developments that may substantially affect project profit, costs, schedules, technical content, client relations, interdepartmental, and interdivisional relations.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

Essential:

  • Possesses the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to be able to perform the roles and responsibilities proficiently.
  • Requires 10+ years of Materials Management Experience in Home Office and/or Construction locations.
  • Heavy Module Material Control experience
  • Experience as a Module Material Manager on $500 Million and larger EPC projects.
  • Team working spirit, international availability, proactivity.
  • You show real interest in and an appetite for the implementation of new tools and working methods adapted to the variety of our sites.
  • Ability to process and analyze digital data.
  • Uses operational and supervisory expertise to solve problems within own area.
  • Interprets customer needs and assesses requirements.
  • Sets day-to-day direction to support business objectives.
  • Works within budget to meet operational objectives set by manager.
  • Resolve routine problems using defined processes and own experience.
  • Attain good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Has in-depth knowledge and experience in the use of Hexagon’s Intergraph Smart® Materials (SMAT) modules.
  • Excellent computer literacy and skills.
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.


Preferred:

  • Site experience with large oil & gas and petrochemicals industries projects.
  • Computer literate in materials control tools and relevant materials certification where applicable.
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree.
