Reports to: VP, People and Culture| FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-time

Position Overview


The Manager, People and Culture Generalist/Talent Acquisition is dedicated to performing their daily job functions in the People & Culture department, including but not limited to sourcing and networking, wage analysis, onboarding, benefits, and leave and enforcing company policies and practices. Their primary goal is to support the people of City Club Apartments to achieve our key business objectives.


Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities


  • Knows what sources and channels work and don’t work for finding like-minded talent; takes a buttoned-up approach to dial into the specific needs behind each open position, knowing that we will always wait for the best fit rather than a warm body.
  • Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental leaders to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Technologically savvy in how to get the best out of utilizing job boards, career growth opportunities, and associate referral programs.
  • Demonstrates a mind for metrics; knows best practice metrics for City Club Apartments.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Works alongside Managers and Department Leaders in conducting onboarding, new hire orientation, and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Shows their passion by staying informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive; updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Understands current legislation; enforce regulations with managers; recommend new procedures; conduct training.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is highly desired.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in recruiting and/or human resources within the Hospitality Department
  • Experience in administering applicant tracking and HR Management systems
  • Knowledge of recruitment metrics and best practices
  • Knowledge of best practices in employee relations
