Manager - Project Management Office

The Office of Strategy and Alliances (OSA) is seeking a enthusiastic and experienced team member to fill the role of Manager, Project Management Office. The Program Manager will be responsible for the oversight and day to day management of the project management office function including responsibility for project design, logistics, and supporting different phases of project implementation to ensure the success of the portfolio. Responsibilities include the development of methods, tools, and programmatic structures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Directly managing a broad, complex, and varied project portfolio.
  • Providing direct supervision and support for project management coordinating staff.
  • Tracking project progress, adoption, and/or performance and providing ongoing reports as requested.
  • Analyzing data to identify trends and make project recommendations.
  • Overseeing the continuous improvement and design optimization of project management templates, tools, and reports.
  • Developing and disseminating regular project updates.
  • Working closely with all members of the OSA program and operations team to implement and manage complex projects.
  • Synthesizing and analyzing data related to a wide range of complex projects to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Designing and optimizing digital platforms including Smartsheet.
  • Providing logistical oversight for all project functions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.




Skills and Abilities:

  • Define and create processes that will scale to meet growing business demands/lean methodology.
  • Shows a strong understanding of the customer needs and program objectives.
  • Exhibits a strong grasp of project management process including scoping, scheduling, milestones, reporting, tools and templates to support program planning and coordination.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters in a confidential and professional manner.
  • Ability to synthesize complex detailed information into easily communicated and digestible communications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite
  • Developing and utilizing data inputs and KPI’s to inform operational adjustments


Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's degree required.


Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum Experience: 4+ years experience in program management and delivery.
  • Experience designing and managing programs with focus on customer needs.
  • Experience in program budget tracking, reporting and risk management.
  • Proven experience engaging with senior leaders to facilitate decision making.
  • Experience providing guidance and mentorship within program management team.
  • Some experience driving continuous program improvement projects.


Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $78,000 - $139,360 per year for the role of Manager - Project Management Office.
