We are seeking a Marketing Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is onsite hybrid in San Diego, CA (highly desired), however, manager will consider remote candidates in PST if not local to San Diego, CA.

This role will work across the organization to enable marketing data in foundational marketing platforms including the CDP platform (Adobe Experience Platform) and Braze. This includes digital audiences/personalization across marketing channels, client and server-side data integrations, and web analytics technology for the Consumer Group brands. This role contributes to critical programs of data enablement and audience/personalization strategy. The ideal candidate will be able to work with multiple stakeholders across strategy, advertising, legal, engineering, product management, marketing technology/web, analytics and agency partners to drive consistent end-to-end experiences for customers and prospects.

What You'll Do

  • Drive data onboarding process and execution for new data requirements and updates to existing data in support of marketing campaigns:
    • Gather marketing requirements and translate them into technical requirements for the data onboarding teams.
    • Understand the data pipelines and sources to ensure data is correctly onboarded to downstream destinations.
    • Onboard the data via self serve data tools within expected SLAs and with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Own quality control for data onboarding, test processes and recommend changes that will improve data quality.
    • Partner with GTM Tech teams to enhance self serve capabilities and influence the roadmap for marketing self serve capabilities.
  • Be a subject matter expert of available marketing data in the CDP:
    • Partner with marketing channels to plan for new data needs and ensure data onboarding teams prioritize marketing data needed for marketing campaigns.
    • Maintain the data dictionary with marketing use cases, data descriptions and other relevant information required by marketing to understand available data for campaign planning.
    • Understand the data onboarding processes including all technologies and collaborate across DAT to onboard data as needed and backup the data enablement team.
    • Partner with Data Quality teams to ensure critical data for marketing use cases are tracked and issues are reported. Backup team with data monitoring as needed.
  • Project manage and track execution of marketing data onboarding:
    • Track data onboarding creation and clearly communicate available audiences, planned audiences and risks to execution timelines.
    • Effectively identify risks, communicate, escalate and drive them to closure.
    • Partner with stakeholders to define business strategies that leverage existing capabilities and identify gaps for product roadmap consideration.
    • Contribute to 1 year planning for audience and CJO capabilities.
Must-haves:

  • 3-5 years professional experience in marketing and managing marketing technologies.
  • Heavy focus on technical capabilities - strong SQL and API skills
  • Demonstrated high levels of ownership, responsibility, and initiative.
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (ie: Twilio Engage, Adobe Experience Platform or similar) and on marketing technologies such as LiveRamp, Braze, Adobe Audience Manager, or similar. Experience with multiple digital marketing channels (i.e. Paid Search, Display, Email, Affiliates, Social and Mobile platforms, as well as Web Properties).
  • Demonstrated experience using segmentation, targeting and personalization to drive awesome customer experiences.
  • Demonstrated technical ability to understand data marts, schemas, sql queries and data properties.
