The Master Planner will oversee all production planning for all Kaspar Outdoor divisions. You will be leading and developing planners for all manufacturing locations. The Master Planner is well-versed in lean production procedures and ways to optimize them; is organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Coordinate productions planning for multiple divisions
Plan and prioritize production to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
Will oversee all reporting metrics from division planners
Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives, etc.)
Prepare and submit status and performance reports
Keep paperwork organized
Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and other staff as required
Be a leaders to division planners through coaching and training
All other duties as assigned
Skills:
Advanced communication and computer skills
Efficient utilization of MRP/ERP programs
Must be able to work with all employees throughout multiple departments and divisions
Qualifications:
Proven experience as production planner
Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning)
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
Good at math and statistics
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities
Some college coursework preferred
Experience in LEAN manufacturing a plus
Flexibility required
Work Environment:
Typically inside a climate-controlled office and is required to occasionally move from office to manufacturing areas and outdoors to perform duties
Occasional exposure to manufacturing environment where the use and wear of proper protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses or side shields on glasses and closed toe shoes are mandatory
