Medical Editor

Client Overview: Our client, a full- service advertising agency, is looking to hire a freelance Medical Editor who is strong in AMA editing, fact checking, and computer savvy to make edits in Adobe.

Candidate must have experience with subpart H to be considered.

Medical Editor Responsibilities:

• Review and edit medical documents, including manuscripts, clinical reports, regulatory submissions, and promotional materials, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Correct grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors while maintaining the scientific integrity of the content.
• Ensure all medical content complies with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and production teams to ensure accurate representation of medical content in visual formats.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of editing and review processes.

Medical Editor Qualifications:

• AMA editing
• Fact checking, and computer savvy to make edits in Adobe.
• Experience with subpart H
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Life Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
• Proven experience as a medical editor or in a similar editorial role within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, scientific writing, and publication standards (e.g., AMA style, ICMJE guidelines).
• Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in editing and proofreading.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
