Medical Records Technician II’s Responsibilities
Locate and retrieve records to accurately audit and verify patient information.
Update client charts with information promptly.
Audit charts, records, and record documentation deficiencies for attending physicians to correct.
Track the location of charts using appropriate software.
Respond to information requests either in person or by telephone promptly.
Medical Records Technician II’s Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
One (1) year of experience as a medical records technician or a similar role is required.
Strong organizational and office technology skills are required.
Intermediate proficiency in medical terminology is highly preferred.
The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment is highly preferred.
