Skills / Requirements

JOB SUMMARY:

Transcribing Pathology reports from transcription software into PC. Duties require knowledge of medical terminology, Pathology preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: H.S. Diploma or GED; completion of Medical Terminology course.
  • Work Experience (Years and Area): 1 year medical transcription experience
  • Equipment Operated: PC

Special Requirements

  • Communications Skills:

Writing/Composing (Reports)

  • Other Skills:

CRT, Dictation/Transcription, Medical Terms, Typing (55 wpm), PC

  • Advanced Education:

Advanced Training/Specialty: Supplemental business courses preferred.

  • Work Schedule: Weekdays
  • Other Requirements: Ability to consistently demonstrate a transcribing speed of 55 WPM on a word processor using complex medical terminology.
