ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Write repair orders and perform work accordingly.
  • Repair suspension, chassis, and brakes on various types of commercial, utility, and recreational vehicles.
  • Inspect and assess the condition of suspension system components, identifying wear, damage, or misalignment.
  • Balance wheel assemblies
  • Verify warranty, if applicable, on all repair orders.
  • Save and tag warranty parts.
  • Communicate with the parts department to secure necessary parts.
  • Repair documented in technician comments during each active time punch.
  • Road test vehicles as needed for quality assessment.
  • Ensure customer vehicle cleanliness.
  • Maintain neat and orderly work area.
  • Accountable for all dealership owned tools.
  • Perform all work with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Perform job duties and functions with flexibility if circumstances shift, i.e., emergencies, changes in personnel, workload, rush jobs or technology developments.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.


WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:


  • Required to perform work inside and outside, in all-weather situations, at the shop division location and at customer locations.
  • Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
  • Willing and able to acquire a Class B CDL within 6 months of employment.
  • Candidate must be a motivated individual who can work independently.
  • Following completion of all online training, selected candidate will be required to attend training sessions for products serviced by the company at the company's expense.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Candidate must possess a complete set of hand tools with rollaway toolbox.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:


  • Previous experience working on suspensions, chassis, or brakes.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks/RVs.


JOB DETAILS:


  • Type: Hourly – Transition to Flat Rate
  • Compensation Range: $25 - $35
  • Bonus Eligibility: No
  • Shift: Flexible schedule, weekend work will be required.
  • Reports To: Mobile Service Manager
  • Closing Date: Open until filled.
