Purpose of Role: Our molding team is responsible for making sand molds according to production and engineering demands in our fast paced and safety conscious steel foundry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus Area: Creating molds for manufacturing products used in mining operations, adhering to production schedules and ensuring correct patterns are utilized.
  • Focus Area: Operating machinery such as sand mixers and continuous mixers to fill molds accurately and efficiently. Supervise and coordinate on-site manufacturing operations, including metal casting and assembly processes
  • Focus Area: Collaborate with engineering teams to create innovative designs that optimize performance, durability, and efficiency.
  • Focus Area: Handling the transfer of completed molds to the pouring floor and conducting shakeout of poured molds, followed by area clean-up for a safe and efficient work environment. This can involve various techniques depending on the material being molded and the desired outcome
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial settings, preferably in metalworking, fabrication, or assembly roles.
  • Proficiency in operating manufacturing machinery and equipment, such as welding tools, and assembly lines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, following instructions, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to overall production goals
