Responsible for safe operation of molding machines and auxiliary equipment as assigned.
Perform visual/dimensional inspection of products, machines, and molds criteria as required.
Package and label parts as required.
Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced.
Allocate supplies needed to operate assigned machines, e.g. labels, supplies, pans, etc.
Review mold change schedule; interface with department and tool room personnel when gathering supplies for mold changes
Gather supplies for mold changes- auxiliary equipment molds, tools, raw materials etc.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete 5S duties
Perform daily housekeeping of assigned machines, and auxiliary equipment.
Place orders for parts or supplies through tool crib.
Perform material handling functions
May be required to work in other departments and in other job classifications.
Responsible for other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a high school diploma or GED
No write-ups as outlined in the Job Opportunity policy
No disciplinary write-ups in the last 6 months
Have less than two (2) incidents under the attendance policy
Have not been awarded a job bid in the previous 12 months
Must be able to pass applicable assessments
Must be available to work overtime including weekends
Must obtain tow motor license within 3 weeks of selection
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 45 pounds
Mechanically inclined.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
Must have basic computer knowledge
Ability to work with little/limited supervision
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions in English
Basic Math skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Candidates selected for position must successfully complete training/assessments
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read technical drawings, and prints.
Ability to use measurement equipment.
Hydraulics experience
SAP Experience
3-6 months experience in plastic injection molding
