Role Overview
We're seeking curious, diligent mortgage professionals to join our dynamic team. This role starts as remote, transitioning to an office-based position in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
Collect, input, and verify data accurately using specialized software.
Review executed loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
Coordinate with third parties to ensure timely closing and funding of loans.
Verify settlement statements with escrow to ensure accuracy.
Follow up on funding processes and disbursements.
Coordinate between borrowers, third parties, and internal stakeholders to facilitate loan closings.
Manage post-closing tasks such as recording security instruments and finalizing title policies.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and gain product expertise.
Assist in underwriting processes by reviewing credit, background, and third-party documents as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in loan funding, closing, or processing.
Expertise in business purpose mortgage lending with 2+ years of experience.
Ability to assess third-party property valuations using established checklists.
Proficiency in reviewing loan documents, settlement statements, and coordinating closings.
Familiarity with underwriting entities and their credit histories, cash reserves, and sponsor backgrounds.
Knowledge of loan settlement and funding procedures.
