NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

This position is responsible for managing the corporate-wide network system; and administering and supporting its user base through various skills.

- Remote/Hybrid but must reside in or near the Raleigh/Durham area.
- Managing general network administration, including account management, software/hardware upgrades, patches, and firmware.
- Evaluating and deploying hardware, assisting with recommending/designing and implementing system enhancements, expansions, upgrades, and installing new hardware and software on the Company’s computer systems as necessary.
- Managing procurement, installation, maintenance, including resolving problems with hardware and software.
- Deploying new systems under the direction of Management including upgrades for all systems.
- Managing data backups, disaster recovery plans, monitoring and maintaining system performance and security, and responding to threats and failures.
- Documenting system changes and processes, maintaining the upkeep of IT system and related SOP.
- Executing the Company's IT procedures.
- Communicating with vendors such as ISPs, data services, and hardware/software providers, to provide internal analysis and support.
- Maintaining and managing all software and hardware inventory owned by the Company.
- Responding to user inquiry regarding workstations, applications, services, and resolving problems or issues in a timely manner.
- Training Staff and Management regarding the Company’s computer systems, hardware/software, as necessary.

- Strong background and experience with current Microsoft software technologies and services
- Working knowledge of common networking protocols and services
- Knowledge of PowerShell, SQL scripting, C#, JSON, XML a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field and two to five years of related experience and or training.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Staff Member is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The Staff Member is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to pick-up, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- The Staff Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- This position requires vision abilities such as close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. working with computers, printers, and telephones)
- The Staff Member may be required to work beyond normal business hours when necessary.
- Travel required in and around the Raleigh/Durham Metro and surrounding areas; reliable transportation is a must.
- Occasional travel to California and New York is necessary for the role.
