New Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Adjunct or In-Residence Series

The Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor for a full time faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full in the Adjunct or In-Residence series depending on qualifications and interests.

We are seeking individuals who are predominantly engaged in research or other creative work and who participate in teaching. This position will require the individual to coordinately work with the Department of Neurological Surgery, Department of Neurology, and other relevant departments to create or further establish research programs focused on Neuromodulation for neurological disease treatment, brain interface technology, and other related research areas. Appointees with titles in these series also engage in University and public service consistent with their assignments.

Requirements

This position requires a PhD in Bioengineering, Neural Engineering or related field, and published expertise in the area of real-time neural signal processing.

Preferred/Desirable Qualifications

Completion of minimal a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent research experience. It is preferred to have familiarity with the NIH grant process. Expertise in the area of real-time neural signal processing and AI are desirable.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 . The minimum base salary range for this position is $112,500 - $297,200. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
