We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Instructor to join our team. In this remote position, you will play a crucial role in equipping students with the essential knowledge and skills needed for entry-level competence in the Nurse Aide profession. Using various teaching methods such as lectures, demonstrations, and technological aids, you will ensure a comprehensive learning experience for our students.
Job Duties
Develop and deliver performance-based objectives and course outlines in accordance with curriculum guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Organize practical and technical instruction sessions, including demonstrations and theory lectures, emphasizing skills crucial to the Nurse Aide profession.
Educate students on the use, maintenance, and safety protocols of tools and equipment, as well as relevant codes and regulations.
Emphasize the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and good work habits in preparing students for employment as Nurse Aides.
Assign and evaluate homework, administer tests, and maintain records of attendance and student progress.
Present subject matter effectively using diverse teaching techniques to optimize classroom learning.
Support students individually or in groups, facilitating understanding and preparation for examinations.
Maintain classroom discipline and enforce protocols, ensuring an organized and conducive learning environment.
Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required.
Evaluate curriculum effectiveness and suggest improvements aligned with educational objectives.
Supervise students during clinical placements at approved sites.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
Minimum of an associate degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current Louisiana license in good standing.
At least two years of LPN experience in caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill, or equivalent experience in related settings (nursing facility, geriatrics department, chronic care hospital, etc.).
Strong multitasking abilities with the capacity to prioritize effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, colleagues, and the community.
Demonstrated professional integrity, discretion, and commitment to ethical conduct.
Compensation
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000-$95,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our total rewards package includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
