Position Summary
The Office Manager directs and supervises the day-to-day functions of the clinic or satellite location in in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The Office Manager is responsible for carrying out all established policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the clinic and its activities.
Implementation and communication of policies, practices, and procedures that guide the operations of the clinic.
Reviews the clinics policies and procedures periodically, at least annually, and makes recommendations to assure continued regulation compliance and operational efficiency
Consults and communicates with Area Satellite Manager, Supervisors and staff concerning practice operations, problem solving and service improvement.
Creates reports and recommendations to leadership concerning the operational improvement to the clinic.
Interacts with Patients to respond to concerns and complaints.
Provides excellent customer service and maintains a positive working relationship with the Physicians, providers, and other health related facilities and organizations.
Assists in setting the tone and atmosphere of the practice and creating a Healthy Work Environment.
Recruits, interviews, selects, and hires practice personnel, supervisors and staff members.
Conducts performance evaluations for staff positions.
Reviews and checks competence of work force and makes necessary adjustments/corrections in alignment with the Human Resources Handbook and policies.
Assures that an adequate number of appropriately trained professionals and personnel are on duty at all times to meet the needs of the patients.
All other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The position is located in a medical office clinic.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Must be able to push, pull, bend, twist, and reach. Use care and proper judgment when lifting or carrying items ensuring to utilize proper posture and body mechanics. Even though the weight lifted may only be a negligible amount, a job is in this category when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
Classified as having occupational exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens.

COMPETENCIES
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in health or business administration is preferred, appropriate experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES: Basic Life Support (BLS). If not BLS certified at the time of employment, must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum three to five years' experience in a healthcare or clinic setting. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
