Human Resources Department

The Human Resources (HR) team is responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment through retirement, collaborating closely with various departments such as Operations, Sales, Finance, and Legal to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment. Our HR team is distinguished by its proactive and strategic approach.

Unlike in many organizations where HR functions are limited to administrative oversight, our HR professionals are empowered with the authority and responsibility to drive critical processes directly. This includes talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and organizational planning. By leveraging in-house expertise, our HR team can align long-term organizational sustainability with innovative HR practices and cost-effective strategies. This alignment ensures that our workforce is engaged, motivated, and equipped to contribute to the company's success. Each member of our HR team plays a pivotal role in making high-impact decisions, resulting in a more dynamic and productive work environment.

Position Overview

As an Onboarding Coordinator, you will be the point of contact for all new hires, ensuring a smooth and engaging onboarding process. You will also act as our compliance guru, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and ensuring our processes are compliant. Your organizational skills and process-driven attitude will be key in handling and optimizing our people experience procedures.

This position will be based on-site at our office in Denver, CO. in alignment with our flexible work policy. (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible).

Essential Job Functions

  • Onboarding and New Hire Integration:
  • Coordinate and own the entire onboarding process for new hires, from pre-boarding to the end of the probation period.
  • Submission and review of required pre-employment background checks.
  • Prepare and deliver onboarding materials and ensure all new hires have access to necessary resources and information.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions and introduce new hires to company culture, values, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with new hires to address any concerns and ensure a positive onboarding experience.
  • Compliance Management:
  • Stay informed about federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure all onboarding processes stay in sync with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including necessary documentation and compliance reports.
  • Conduct regular audits to guarantee adherence and identify areas for improvement.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Create and implement efficient processes and workflows for onboarding and other people experience activities.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve people experience processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure flawless integration of new hires into the company.
  • Use HRIS and other systems to streamline processes and maintain accurate data.
  • Employee Engagement and Support:
  • Act as a point of contact for new hires, providing support and guidance throughout their onboarding journey.
  • Collect feedback from new hires and use insights to improve the onboarding experience.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and events to nurture a positive work environment.
  • Assist with other HR-related tasks and projects as needed.
  • Additional duties as designated by Management

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR, onboarding, or a similar role in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and other HR software tools. Workday preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mentality with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Positive and proactive demeanor.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for enhancing employee experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $55,000-65,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.
  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
