Role Description

We are seeking an exceptionally organized, dynamic, and resourceful Operations Manager to collaborate with executive leadership and enhance our company’s internal organizational structure. 

The Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations, ensuring efficient processes and effective resource management. This role is vital for the ongoing success and growth of our high-performance technology design and integration company.


Responsibilities

  • Operational Planning and Management: Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity within the company. Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and prioritize operational projects and initiatives, leveraging relevant data.
  • Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, including equipment, personnel, and budget, ensuring optimal use and organizational efficiency. Partner with the payroll/PEO company to ensure timely and accurate employee onboarding, payroll and benefits administration.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously analyze current operations, processes, and workflows to identify and implement improvements. Assess departmental budgets to identify opportunities for cost reduction and profit optimization.
  • Leadership and Initiative: Lead and motivate operations initiatives to consistently meet company goals. Take advantage of ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Support recruitment, staff management, and policy implementation as needed.
  • Vendor and Contract Management: Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, negotiate contracts, and ensure all agreements serve the best interests of the company. Ensure compliance with insurance requirements, sales tax certificates, coordinating with vendors and acquiring Certificates of Insurance (COIs) as needed.
  • Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure all operations comply with legal regulations and internal policies, and maintain high quality standards for all processes and outputs. Uphold company principles and policies, contributing to long-term planning and operational standards.
  • Sustainable Practices: Promote sustainable practices within the company’s workflow to support environmental and organizational sustainability.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Regularly report to senior management on operational progress, challenges, and strategies. Use data and metrics to guide business decisions and operational adjustments.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in an operations management role, ideally in production, broadcast, entertainment or related industries.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate individuals and teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in process improvement and project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance documents and procedures.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience with ClickUp project management platform (highly desired).
  • Experience with TriNet (or comparable PEO platform).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Diplomatic crisis management and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in operations management or project management are preferred.
  • Experience with start-ups (a plus).
