Title: Optical Engineering Technician

Duration: Vendor

Location: Redmond, WA

Hours: Minimum 40 Hours/Week

Role

• Assist with optical assemblies.
• Building metrology setup and performing the optical metrology tests, system checks, and maintenance.
• Performing optical reliability tests.
• Setup and execute optical validation tests per written procedure or instruction.
• The team often is experimenting with adhesives, coatings, lens design and assemblies, illumination design, and general optical assembly, testing, and debug.
• Collaborate with team environment across a diverse set of disciplines including optical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, and physics.
  
  
  

Skills

• Experience analyzing data in python, MATLAB, Zemax, or other optical software design/analysis tool.
• Experience running optical metrology equipment such as a spectrophotometer, interferometer, power meter, MTF testing, etc.
• Knowledge of imaging optics, image quality metrics, optical instrument, sensor physics.
• Direct hands-on experiences on working with optical system, measurement system analysis (GRR, ARR), failure analysis.
  
  
  

Education: B.S Optics, EE or related field.

Salary range for this position is $35/hr to $45/hr (Equivalent to 70k to 90k). Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
