Lead Trader – Options Market Maker ~$2M

A leading market maker is hiring a Lead Trader to optimize performance and improve market liquidity of their options market-making strategies.

Role Overview:

As an the Lead Trader, you will play a critical role in identifying and executing profitable trading opportunities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research new trading opportunities and deploy multiple profitable market-making strategies on CME, Eurex, and/or SEC options exchanges.
• Analyze existing strategies to maximize profitability through trade analysis, low latency analysis, and execution analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineers to continually improve technical infrastructure, including rolling out FPGAs to enhance market execution dominance.
• Improve fill rates on competitive trade opportunities by coordinating with networking, data centre, hardware, and software teams.
• Analyze tick and packet-level market data to identify trade and algorithm improvement opportunities.
• Build data pipelines and dashboards to analyze performance
• Mentor new hires, and junior traders, sharing expertise in options theory and market-making strategies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in options market making and trading.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify profitable trading opportunities.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams to enhance trading infrastructure.
• Familiarity with options exchange protocols, network architecture, and matching engine behaviour.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
