The application you will work on is a large critical application for Envoy that runs on Oracle DB. This application controls every single item on an aircraft for maintenance.
They are retiring the Windows based Delphi code of this app and moving it to the front end. Envoy wants “one source of trust” for the app and to have it all complied into 1 database.
You will be taking the business logic and how the actual application functions and putting that into PL SQL code with packages, procedures, functions, views, etc.
Team Structure:
There are 3 other people on the database side doing this same development. Whole team has 15 people with varying responsibilities of front-end development, angular development, database development, etc.
Must Haves:
4+ years (with flexibility on the bill rate, let’s shoot for more senior folks) of Oracle PL/SQL development experience including experience in each of the following areas:
Experience in development related to actual applications and functional database packages, NOT developing services/DBA
Creating and maintaining large packages, stored procedures, functions, record structures, tables, views, indexes and triggers
PL/SQL development, unit testing, code troubleshooting and debugging.
Query performance tuning and database design.
Oracle ERP.

Application Development on LARGE packages: Example; 4,000 lines was “fantastic” for the manager.
High Performance Query Development.
Need good experience writing Oracle packages completely from scratch. Need the capability to develop hundreds of lines from nothing.
Record structure.
Again, we are Not looking for a DBA here. Candidates with DBA background early in their career is fine, but recent must be on the development side.
