  • Manages multiple low to high complexity projects or tasks.
  • Coordinates and communicates with various internal stakeholders including, but not limited to legal, product management, technical support, engineering, procurement, and project documentation.
  • Maintaining required project records and documents. Works with fellow team members to ensure the department stay on schedule.
  • Maintains consistent updates of project plan, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinates the activities of IA business unit and effectively communicates with customers regarding status of project orders.
  • Maintains awareness of project progress: Addresses problems associated with shipment of projects on a timely basis with the assistance of the Level II Specialists; assists with project meetings; attends selected business team meetings; monitors progress vs. plan; provides status reports to manager, Level II Specialists, and customer; ensures change orders are properly executed; assures execution is in accordance with unit procedures and proper methodologies.
  • Provides interface between YCA and the customer and manages project quality by ensuring YCA quality plan is implemented throughout the project.
  • Serves as YCA’s primary contact and focal point to the customer during the project, i.e., provides interface between YCA and the customer and third-party vendors, involves other YCA personnel as appropriate; prepares all required reports; arranges joint YCA/customer project meetings; ensures customers are aware of evolving system characteristics; resolves any miscommunication; ensures customer satisfaction is maintained; makes periodic job site visits.
  • Responsible for archiving project records, documentation, and transfer of customer-accepted system with required documentation for warranty services and maintenance.
  • Through effective communication and negotiation skills, successfully coordinates schedule delays, change orders, terms and conditions, invoicing issues, etc. to ensure a positive outcome for the customer and YCA.
  • Responsible to stop any work processes that are believed to compromise quality.
  • Works with or acts as Proposal Manager on customer requirements, i.e., reviews RFP (Request for Proposal) and specification, coordinates with sales and marketing to determine scope of work and is responsible for scope definition, prepares and/or approves all cost estimates, develops preliminary implementation plan, may assist in the estimating, proposal, and sales process, controls final negotiations on engineering/construction project.
  • Close out projects on schedule.
  • Depending on the project type and scope, the Project Management Specialist may need to perform some of the engineering tasks.
  • Responsible for developing manufacturing and delivery schedules to meet customer CRD (Construction Ready Date).
  • Makes recommendations and proposals to Management that impact immediate customer satisfaction and therefore repeat business.
  • Responsible for providing uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated area of responsibility.
  • Evaluates and identifies solutions to improve overall efficiency.
  • Works closely with supervisor to ensure/protect contract activities are consistent with procedures and customer requirements.
  • Negotiates changes as required to meet YCA and customer goals, with supervisor approval on all critical changes.
  • Tracks/manages and reports all financial variables to management.
