SALES MANAGER
Position Summary
A Redi Carpet Sales Manager is responsible for developing and managing the branch sales force. They hire and develop new Account Managers and assist them with managing customer relationships, increasing sales, and achieving gross profit targets.
Responsibilities (included, but not limited to the following)
Recruit, hire, train and develop all Account Managers in the branch
Set specific goals and action plans for all direct reports and hold accountable for results
Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports
Ensure all company policies and procedures are being followed
Conduct monthly sales meetings
Develop new business opportunities through the sales team
Maintain relationships with key customers
Support local pricing strategy
Support all regional and national account programs
Drive compliance with Account Managers of all company initiatives (i.e. OAS, REDI-Link, etc.)
Be actively involved in local trade associations and trade shows
Develop basic understanding of software related functions related to sales management
Manage projects as requested by immediate supervisor
Important Goals and Deadlines
Achieve budgeted sales quotas and gross profit targets
Promptly respond to Office and Operations Managers requests for assistance with Account Managers
Monthly review of Performance Analysis report with Account Managers
Assist General Manager with development of annual sales budget
Hire new Account Managers on time in accordance with budget
Develop ability to proficiently use and train Account Managers on REDI-Link measuring program
Fulfill duties as outlined by the Redi Carpet Safety Program
Qualifications
3+ years of outside sales experience
1+ years of multi-family or flooring industry experience is preferred
Effective leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to develop a cohesive sales team
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Highly energetic and organized
Outstanding positive attitude
