Purpose And Responsibilities
The SageNet Paralegal will serve as the primary support for SageNet’s General Counsel and Associate Counsel. This position is for an upcoming or recent college graduate with an interest in attending law school. Specifically, the Paralegal will:
Provide support to SageNet’s General Counsel and Senior Counsel which will consist of regularly interacting with SageNet’s finance, operations, sales and C-level executives
Draft and review contractual agreements with supervision and manage the contract approval process
Manage General Counsel and Senior Counsel responsibilities and assist in scheduling matters
Maintain, organize and distribute SageNet contractual agreements, corporate records, commission plans, etc.
Answer routine internal and external inquiries regarding contracts or other legal matters
Create and maintain standard contract forms and templates
Assist in merger and acquisition activity, entity dissolution processes and other corporate governance matters
Develop and lead legal trainings
Conduct legal research
Manage any compliance matters including external filings, registrations and licenses
Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Detail-oriented, excellent proofreader and writer
Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal oversight
Motivated, approachable, professional, highly organized, capable of multitasking and able to meet deadlines
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
Strong interest in the law
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record
2-year minimum commitment to the position

Must be willing to relocate to Reston, VA (Washington D.C. Metro)
Preferred Qualifications
Administrative or legal experience in a corporate or law firm setting
Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, Outlook and Salesforce
Working Conditions
Working indoors in the Reston office, or otherwise working remotely, from a space dedicated to a professional working environment conducive to a workspace for conversations and work to be conducted in a confidential manner.
Productively work in a hybrid work environment which consists of 2 mandatory “all-in” days, 1 variable day, and 2 virtual days. Hybrid work environment is applied per position/department and may be subject to change per changes in the Policy.
