Summary: Batie & Company Capital Management LLC, a financial services firm, is looking for an experienced, motivated, and positive-minded professional to join our growing and expanding Financial Planning Team as a Paraplanner.


Responsibilities:

  • Financial Plan Preparation: Assist financial advisors in gathering client data and preparing comprehensive financial plans, including retirement planning, investment analysis, tax planning, and estate planning.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis on various financial products, investment strategies, and market trends to support recommendations provided to clients.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular contact with clients by phone, email, and in person to gather needed information, provide status updates, and answer questions.
  • Meeting Support: Prepare client meeting materials, including presentations, reports, and investment proposals.
  • Implementation Support: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely implementation of financial plans and recommendations.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain client records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to financial advisors, including scheduling client meetings, managing client communications, and handling account paperwork.
  • Continuing Education: Stay current with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in financial planning.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
  • CFP or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a financial planning or wealth management role.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning concepts, investment principles, and tax strategies.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software, such as Orion Planning, eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses preferred.


Preferred Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior written communication skills.
  • Positive internal/external customer service and teamwork attitude.
  • Solid time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience with legal document drafting tools preferred (i.e., Fore Trust, Adapt, Wealth Counsel).
  • Previous experience with estate planning CRM systems preferred (i.e., Clio).
