Directly responsible for the management and/or supervision of the Parts Department in its entirety as it relates to the goals of your perspective branch and Branch Manager.
PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT
Working with recruitment and HR to maintain staff levels that appropriately support customer demand.
Working directly with personnel to ensure proper job function performance.
Maintaining continuous personnel improvement processes that include cross training and management support.
Communicating effectively with personnel to promote growth and high morale.
Working with other department managers to encourage cross departmental workflow.
DEPARTMENTAL PROCESS AND PROCEDURE
Maintaining and managing inventory levels that both enhance customer service and maintain corporate goals.
Ensuring established policies and procedures are being followed and performed accordingly.
Assisting with policy and procedure enhancements to encourage an environment that promotes an ease of business.
Hold weekly departmental meetings to address comments, questions and/or concerns as it relates to productivity of the department.
BUSINESS GROWTH
Regularly schedule time to spend in the market managing, maintaining and increasing customer relationships.
Regularly review the Monthly Operating Statement (M.O.S.) to measure:
Departmental financial state (forecast vs. current)
Areas for improvement
Staffing levels
Evaluating the market to determine appropriate means for gaining market share.
QUALIFICATIONS
Complete and maintain all factory certifications within 180 days of original date of hire
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Previous parts experience (management preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication
